Friday follow: TripFiction

If, like me, your two greatest passions are reading and travel, then I’ve found the resource for you.

TripFiction is a fantastic database of books set in over 1,200 countries, regions and cities. Its purpose is to match your travels to your fiction, allowing you to find novels set in the places you are off to explore.

I love this idea. I always delve into the fiction of a country or city before visiting, and pack my case or Kindle with tales from local writers. It’s a great way to learn more about a culture, and get really absorbed into the history, people and sensibilities of a place through its storytelling.

TripFiction is also a community. You can add your book reviews to its database and join discussions with fellow readers eager to find the perfect literary travel companion.

This will become my go-to research tool for any travel plans in future.

Check it out here.
